Your Healthy Habits

I thought it would be helpful to create a page that shares the products that have become healthy habits in my healthy lifestyle.

Since I've been on this journey I've experienced many changes with my body.​ Something I underestimated was how my skin would improve.  Of course drinking 2-3 litres of water per day was bound to help.

I had been using other products to support my body and muscles during and post workouts - I wasn't happy.  So, in traditional CaAtherine fashion I began researching for a product that would offer me something a little more.  

The Arbonne products (on paper) appeared to be the best alternative.

Prior to working out I use the Phytosport - Prepare and Endure. Usually during a hard leg workout my legs are often left feeling fatigued – especially after 100kg leg presses. The Prepare and Endure I had was the Orange / Pineapple flavour, and I have to say was super easy to digest. Often these products leave a nasty after taste, or are high in sodium. Prepare and Endure was great tasting with no lingering after taste. Which is always a plus.

You have the option of sipping this during your work out, however I choose to drink it 15 minutes before my workout to give it time to absorb and support the muscles. Then continue to drink filtered water during the workout.

Post workout you need to help the body recover – especially after a hard workout. The BCAA (branched-chain amino acids) powder I had been using wasn’t working as well as I had hoped. Again, another reason I was keen to test the Vegan certified Arbonne products. The After Workout supplement (berry flavour) was super easy to digest. (Even my trainer was impressed with the flavour and ingredient listing).

You need to drink the After Workout within 30 minutes of exercise to get the best results. When I first began using it I noticed after 8 hours post work out I had much less induced muscle soreness. After a hard work out you need to ensure your muscles are getting the amino acids they need to support and repair.

I continue to use the products - because I definitely notice an improvement.  ​
